Rainy Days
Dark and dreary mornings. As it is I get up when it's still dark outside. It definitely was not easy getting up and out of bed this morning. I just wanted to stay in bed all day under the covers, but I had a blog to write, so here I am. It's amazing the incentive that blogging provides.

Wow, blogging does that for you? Amazing! I had a similar morning... when it is this dark outside in the mornings my body just does not compute!
I know the feeling. It's like fighting the tidal wave that keeps pushing you back down and saying, don't bother. stay in bed....
ok...so getting up to go to work doesn't do it for you?
well, the two are connected. I blog at work. ;-)
Besides, blogging is fun, work .... is work.
I love to be up when everyone's asleep. No matter the weather.

6AM..mm this morning was delicious...60 degrees..with a fresh wind..sipping my coffee...out on the deck..
David, what's a deck? Here in Brooklyn we got fire escapes.
The deck? Totally cant relate. In Queens we also have fire escapes!
If it were up to me, a day like today has been would be spent smushed in bed, cuddling my pillow, reading and drifting off to sleep for some nice dreams.

A deck is what you guys call a porch..just 5 times the size and made of wood

frumgirl, I agree with you on that one. Besides, I have found taht my day flies by so much faster when I come in even a little late.
Indeed it has, you wouldn't get me out of bed for that!What does work is something smelling good in the kitchen, of course I only know that in theory.
datingmaster, I'm shocked. hot soup and a good book are great, but I thought for sure you would have a third suggestion.
frum idealist, I bet datingmaster is listing only those two because the thing you are thinking of happens only 4 times a month, less often than the rain :P
